1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (NASB)

24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. 25 Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; 27 but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

Your body is important. It keeps you here on earth. It is what you are confined to for your entire life. You mine as well get used to it, take care of it, but most of all, get it under control. Do NOT let your body control you. That is a recipe for inner turmoil and disaster. I will share as much as I can about disciplining your body. Self-control is the key success. Overcoming negative emotions, cravings, lusts, and physical limitations set you up to do not only what deep down inside you want to do, but more importantly, what you were created to do.

Here are some of my thoughts on disciplining the body.
